The 'Batman v. Superman' producer Charles Roven has revealed that Ben Affleck was the first choice and the first person they approached for the Batman role.
Roven told The Hollywood Reporter that the 'Argo' star had everything they were looking for in this new incarnation of both Bruce Wayne and his crime-fighting alter ego, Batman.
The 65-year-old producer continued that they were looking for a very tougher, rugged and mature Batman, because they wanted to juxtapose him with this very young Superman.
Roven added that they were also looking for a guy who was sturdy as they wanted Batman to tower over Superman.
