BBMP polls: BJP leading in 29 seats, Congress ahead in 14 seats

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken a big lead over the Congress in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) elections with the party leading in 29 seats so far.

The Congress is leading in just 14 seats. The Janata Dal (Secular) is ahead in 10 seats and the others are leading in six seats.

A total of 1,121 candidates are in the fray for the 198 wards of the BBMP.

The elections were held across 6,733 polling stations on August 22.
