Australian fast bowler Peter Siddle has claimed that he will be glad to have post-match drinks with his English counterparts but only once the Ashes series is over.

England pacer James Anderson on Monday had revealed that the defeated Australian team turned down Alastair Cook's invitation to join them for a post-match drink after their 169-run loss at the hands of the hosts at Cardiff.

Siddle, however, said that Anderson's stand on the idea of socialising with his opponents has changed drastically since the 2013 Ashes, Sport24 reported.

He said that it was the first time during his five Ashes series that anyone was ever going to have a drink after one Test match.

He added that it was rather very interesting as after the Oval Test in 2013, Anderson had said that he could not stand with the idea of sharing drinks.

The 30-year old bowler, however, said that the Ashes participants have never shared a drink after a Test match and in his view, it was not going to change this time also.

The two arch rivals will lock horns in the second Ashes Test at Lords, starting from Thursday.
