Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for asking his ministers to submit a 'report card' on the work done in the past one year, the Congress party on Wednesday said that the former should first submit his own progress report.
"First of all, the Prime Minister needs to give his report card because others were not allowed to function, take any decisions or initiatives. Every ministry is busy in launching the propaganda events. He wants to be an event manager. He is not initiating anything new. Even the Skill India programme is not a new one," said Congress leader Veerappa Moily.
According to reports, Prime Minister Modi has written to all ministries and the NITI Aayog to furnish details of progress on the commitments made last year and submit a report card on the same ahead of his Independence Day speech.
