Nupur Asthana, the director of 'Bewakoofiyaan' recently spilled the beans about her hardships in life and her journey from directing TV serials to movies.
Asthana in an interview with Indus Age Magazine said that she remembers in her early days she used to take up small projects to pay her rents.
The director started her journey with the TV serial 'Hip Hip Hurray' on Zee Television and made her debut on the big screen with the film, 'Mujhse Frandship Karoge'.
Asthana speaking on her journey said that she started working at a time when there were no women on set and when she was an assistant director, she would be there with a heroine and a hair dresser and no other woman used to be on set.
The 'Bewakoofiyaan' director also mentioned that she used to move around producers and showed her scripts when finally one fine day she got a call from the Yash Raj Films.
Asthana further added that it has been a long and adventurous journey.
