Billy Joel defends Taylor Swift as New York's first Global Welcome Ambassador
Billy Joel has come to the rescue of Taylor Swift by defending the singer after she was named as New York's first Global Welcome Ambassador.
The 65-year-old American singer asserted that New Yorkers who disapproved of Swift's new role in town were "snoots", the Huffington Post reported.
The six-time Grammy Award winner added that Swift should be welcomed and that was what New York was all about.
Joel added that the 24-year-old singer is a talented songwriter.
