Targeting the present ruling party of Uttar Pradesh the Samajwadi Party (SP) for not implementing the schemes in the state, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday assured that the 'Bimaru' Uttar Pradesh would witness development with them coming into power.

Quoting examples of developing the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and even Bihar, the BJP assured the same for Uttar Pradesh as well.

"I want to make an appeal to people of Uttar Pradesh to give mandate in our favour and we will remove this Bimaru tag," said BJP president Amit shah while launching party manifesto here.

Bringing in the issue of Triple Talaq, Shah said they would be asking the will of Muslim women of UP and accordingly then present the views on the same before the Supreme Court.

Shah also said if their government comes into power, they would ban all illegal slaughter houses.

"All the illegal slaughter houses will be shut down strictly," Shah said.

Highlighting the attractions mentioned in the manifesto, Shah said the party will take Uttar Pradesh to new heights by introducing facilities such as food processing park, special task force to end up illegal mining, setting up of teams to check exodus of people during communal tension etc.

Apart from this, the BJP also promised to set up 3 women police station in state's each district, along with launching 108 ambulances, establishing 25 new medical colleges and six AIIMS in the state.

The saffron party also promised 24-hour power supply, laptops to youth with 1GB free internet for a year. Along with this, the party has also assured all the colleges to have free Wi-Fi.

Also, the party promised to waive off farmers' loans and to provide new loans at zero percent interest rate.

The BJP assured better job opportunities for the youth, more facilities for women and overall development of the state.

Shah asserted that since the election is taking place after the move of demonetisation, the people would support the party.

UP goes to polls on February 11.
