CEO of Bitcoin exchange firm First Meta, Autumn Ratke, was reportedly found dead in her Singapore apartment on February 28.
The 28-year-old American is suspected to have committed suicide, however, Singapore officials are awaiting toxicology test results.
According to Fox News, Ratke formerly worked with Apple and other Silicon Valley tech firms on developing digital payment systems.
First Meta said in a statement that the team was shocked and saddened by the tragic loss of friend and CEO Radtke.
A number of questionable financial sector deaths have been reported this year, including JP Morgan bankers and corporate heads, and Ratke's death brings the total number to eight, the report added.
