Biju Janata Dal (BJD) candidate Pradeep Disari was caught with more than Rs 2 lakh in his vehicle by the Flying Squad of Election Commission at Jaipatana. His vehicle with cash was seized immediately.
Pradeep is contesting from Langigarh Assembly constituency in Kalahandi district.
However, undeterred by the seizure of his vehicle and cash, he continued campaigning on foot. Kalahandi district goes to polls on April 11.
Odisha will undergo Lok Sabha and state assembly elections simultaneously on April 11, 18, 23 and 29 of seven-phased Lok Sabha elections. The results will be declared on May 23.
