Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Saturday made it clear that his party was against the forceful conversions and asked the other political parties to come forward with their stand on legislating a new law against such practices.
"The BJP is the only party, which wants to bring a law to end forceful conversions. I appeal to so called secular parties to support it," he told a press conference here.
He also pointed out that the BJP is the only party, which demanded a new law against forceful religious conversion.
Responding to queries on the black money, Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre has during the last six months done much more than what the UPA regime did in ten years on this issue.
