The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday said that the final decision regarding an alliance with another party in Maharashtra will be taken by the parliamentary board of the party.
"The parliamentary board is about to begin its meeting in which a decision will be taken about how to go ahead in Maharashtra," BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra told ANI here.
"The BJP has an organizational structure. In this structure, the final decision is taken by the parliamentary board of the party," he added.
When asked whether NCP could be a possible ally in Maharashtra, Patra said, "The parliamentary board is the highest decision making body where the decisions are taken democratically."
The counting of votes for the assembly elections in Maharashtra is taking place, with the BJP having won 84 seats and leading in 38 seats.
