American boxing trainer Freddie Roach has said that Filipino boxer and politician Manny Pacquiao is going to beat unbeaten US boxer Floyd Mayweather for acting like an ass, when the two boxing greats clash in the highly awaited May 2 bout in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao and 'Money' Mayweather would meet in Las Vegas on May 2 in a fight rightfully being billed as the biggest thing in boxing since Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield went to war, complete with the infamous ear-biting incident, in the 1990s.
And Pacquiao has really taken the challenge seriously as he is busy slaughtering his body around the Hollywood hills in preparation for his upcoming Fight of the Century against Mayweather.
Pacquiao is training with champion trainer Justin Fortune, who has been working in conjunction with boxing icon Roach for the best part of 12 years, The Daily Telegraph reported.
Pacquiao scales the mountains of Griffith Park and then heads to the Observatory where Fortune is preparing to unleash torture at the Filipino. When the world champion southpaw arrives, Fortune guides him into an area complete with a dozen sit-up mats to begin the process of smashing out 1,000 repetitions.
And Pacquiao follows this routine religiously six-days a week with Sunday the only rest day for the Filipino.
Roach said that they have changed the game plan a little bit because he believes Mayweather's getting a little bit older and his legs are a little bit gone, adding that he doesn't think the American is going to be able to run like he used to and believes that the unbeaten boxer is going to have to trade and fight with them a little bit more.
Roach claimed that Pacquiao is working extra hard, everybody is, there's a lot of activity going on and long days but it would be well worth it.
Labeling the fight a classic example of good versus evil, Roach said that it's black hat, white hat, adding that one guy is a great role model, the other guy is throwing money around just flushing money around the toilet just doing disrespectful things.
Roach claimed that there's a lot of poor people in the world and Mayweather just acts like an ass, adding that the American is a bad guy and Pacquiao is going to beat him up for it. He also said that he doesn't think Mayweather is the greatest fighter in the world as he has picked a lot of hand-picked opponents and fought a couple of good guys but he is not so impressed with the American boxer.
Roach believes that Pacquiao's hand speed should be too much for Mayweather and the foot speed is going to really destroy him.
