Brad Pitt and David Michod will come together to craft the Gen. Stanley McChrystal's Afghan Story 'The Operators', it has been revealed.
While 41-year-old Michod will be writing and directing the film, Pitt, 50, will produce along with his Plan B partners Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, Deadline.com reported.
The film is based on the Michael Hastings book and centers on Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the commanding general of international and U.S. forces in Afghanistan, portraying the backrooms and politics behind the war that shook the country.
The project is also backed by New Regency and RatPac Entertainment, which also made a successful producing partnership with Pitt's Plan B last year after Regency teamed with Plan B for the Oscar winning Best Picture '12 Years A Slave'.
