A British Royal Marine has beaten an American Sniper to become the world's most lethal sniper.

According to Daily Star, with 173 confirmed kills, the unnamed marine had served in the Royal navy's elite for more than a decade.

The sniper has surpassed the kill count of US Navy Seal Chris Kyle who has 160 kills to his credit.

The report quoted a source as saying that the marine was not interested in scores or kill counts and that he took no satisfaction in the job he had to do.
