British High Commissioner Sir James Bevan on Saturday told senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vijay Jolly that Britain is keen to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015.
Sir Bevan said this while the two leaders met over tea at the British envoy's residence in the national capital.
During the meeting, Sir Bevan recalled that the British Government was the first to re-engage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 22, 2012 which had led to the strengthening of economic, educational, social and diplomatic ties between Gujarat and Britain.
The British High Commissioner further stated that he looked forward to his meeting with the BJP president Amit Shah soon.
He also lauded the contribution of Indian diaspora in the business, industry, education and development in the United Kingdom.
