A Tripura Border Security Force (BSF) commandant, Deepak Mondal, was attacked by unknown miscreants on Monday.

Deepak, who belonged to the 145th battalion of the BSF, is reportedly in a critical condition and will be airlifted to Kolkata.

As per the BSF, Mondal was attacked after he challenged a group of people, who were smuggling cattle.
