The Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday confirmed that an infiltration attempt was foiled along the International Border (IB) last night, adding that the forces are on alert in wake of the Gurdaspur attack.
"Yesterday night at around 10 pm, our boys saw suspicious movement of four terrorists very close to the IB. They timely detected it and immediately reacted to it. The terrorists had no other option but to withdraw back to the Pakistani territory," Inspector General (IG) BSF Rakesh Kumar told ANI.
"We suspect that they might have carried out a recce during day time. We are very alert in wake of the Dina Nagar attack," he added.
