It was a pleasant surprise for the morning walkers at Ram Bagh Gardens to see both Congress party's Captain Amarinder Singh and BJP's Arun Jaitley- contesting from Amritsar parliamentary constituency shake hands.
Both of them mingled with the morning walkers and shook hands with them. Interestingly during course of walk Amarinder and Jaitley had a brief meeting, shook hands and exchanged pleasantries while their supporters were raising their respective party's slogans at high pitch.
"I am a normal morning walker and I walk everyday and I continue to do that. We are only opponents. I never use hard words; I think language is an instrument to say a lot of hard things without using hard language," said Amarinder.
"There is not going to be any violence from my side and nor from Jaitley's side, this is not an Indo China war but a political war going on, we all are civilized people . He said Good Morning, I said Good Morning and we shook our hands," he said.
