With ceasefire violations continuing unabated in Jammu and Kashmir, the cross-Loc trade between Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) will most likely be affected in the coming days.

"Although there has not been any direct effect upon cross-Loc trade in Poonch, Rawalakot till now, but if it increases beyond a certain point then it will definitely affect the business," said Mohammad Bashir Ahmed Lone, the custodian of cross LoC trade and travel at the Chakan Da Bagh.

"These days the trading of 'jeera', tamarind and herbs is high from our side and we are receiving high quantities of mango, dry dates, walnut and almonds from Pakistan," he added.

The cross LoC trade was resumed earlier this week, after around three weeks of suspension, where goods worth Rs 1.17 crores were traded.
