One security personnel got injured in an encounter between the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) of 195th battalion and Maoists on Monday in Dantewada's Bandipara village.
The encounter took place after the CRPF and Chhattisgarh Police carried out a joint search operation in the village where an improvised explosive device (IED) blast had occurred.
Earlier in the day, an exchange of fire took place between security personnel and Maoists which has been stopped now.
The injured personal has been evacuated and is being treated in Katekalyan hospital.
Reportedly, his condition is stable.
