The Mumbai Police on Thursday arrested close aide of Chhota Rajan, gangster D.K. Rao, in an extortion case.
The Mumbai Police officer informed that various cases of extortion have been registered against Rao and he has been arrested in a case where he demanded 50 lakh rupees from a SRA consultant.
A case was registered against Rao under section 387, 504, 506 (2), 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in Dharavi Police Station and investigation of the case has been taken over by Detection Crime Branch.
Rao will be in police custody till October 18.
