With the sun god shining in full beam, it has become very difficult for the so called chilled-out Delhiites to face this intense heat.

A day after the national capital recorded the hottest day in the last five years with the temperature going to as high as 44 degree centigrade, the people in Delhi were greeted with a hot and cloudy Sunday morning with the weatherman forecasting partly cloudy sky for the day.

However, as soon as the day passed by, the mercury soared with minimum temperature settling at 29.8 degrees Celsius, which was eight notches above normal and affected the people who wanted to relax on the weekend.

However, as per the prediction by the MeT department, there is a likelihood of dust storm or thunderstorm occurring in the evening or night. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 40 degrees Celsius.

The people, who came out with their families to India Gate to enjoy the weekend, were seen soaked in sweat.

However, the MeT Department has to their relief predicted that the temperature would fall by 2-4 degree within the next 48 hours.

Saturday witnessed a maximum temperature of 44 degree Celsius while the minimum settled at 28.4 degree Celsius.
