Ahead of addressing rallies in poll-bound West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his ailing guru Swami Atmasthananda Maharaj, the president of Ramakrishna Math and Mission Order, in Kolkata today.
The Prime Minister's guru, who is suffering from age-related health complications, is presently undergoing treatment at the Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan - Shisumangal.
The senior monk had congratulated Prime Minister Modi after he won the 2014 Lok Sabha polls and invited him to visit the Math.
The 97-year old Swami is the president of the order started by Swami Vivekananda.
After his visit, the Prime Minister's first address will be at Nadia district's Krishnanagar, which is likely to begin at around 3.30 p.m., while the second one will be in West Bengal's capital city.
