Ma Zhanwu, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kolkata, on Friday said that Beijing wants its relationship with New Delhi to be the best in the world.
Zhanwu Ma said both countries need to mutual assist each other without affecting the market.
"On the whole China and India are developing even more and I have always said that we want to build one of the best relationships in the world," he said.
"We have shared interests and we have differences but we can handle these differences without allowing it to affect our cooperation," he told the media in Kolkata.
