The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is organizing a one-day workshop on 'German Dual System of Apprenticeship Training in Indian Context' at the India Habitat Centre here on Thursday.
This conference, which will be attended by decision makers from the central and state governments and the industry, comes in the wake of a landmark decision by the Government of India such as the Apprenticeship (Amendments) Bill 2014.
Through this workshop, the stakeholders will be given the opportunity to get acquainted with innovative implementation methodology through the German Dual Model for the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Bill 2014.
The workshop will deliver through breakout groups on: systemic reform - develop a comprehensive/systematic vision and discuss requirements for implementation; local governance; train- the-in-company trainer and defining core processes for quality assurance, assessment , certification and guidance; revamped ATS curriculum and connect to the industry.
The valedictory address will be given by Sunil Arora, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
