Australian captain Michael Clarke and his English counterpart Alastair Cook will reportedly reach their 100th Test in the same match this Ashes if all goes well.
In a coincidental turn of events, Clarke and Cook will face each other in their 100th Test during the third of the winter Ashes Test in Perth next month.
According to The Age, discussions are under way about how to mark the Australian captain's milestone but it is unclear to what extent his England rival's century of matches will be acknowledged out in Australia.
Meanwhile, England batsman Kevin Pietersen will play his 100th Test at the first Ashes Test in Gabba next week, the report added.
