Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had a meeting with the people belonging to Kapu caste, and assured that he would work faster on getting backward (BC) reservation to their community.
While addressing a congregation of Kapu people in Vijayawada, the Chief Minister noted that Kapus had been peeled off BC reservation twice during earlier Congress regimes.
Naidu said that he had taken up the cause of Kapus on his own during the 2014 poll campaign and will make it "possible sooner".
Naidu while speaking to the media said that the Manjunatha Commission has been set up by his government and he will give its report very soon.
The CM and other Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders who took part in the meeting assured economic and educational development of the Kapu community.
