Cold wave disrupts normal life across Himachal Pradesh

Piercing cold wave conditions are sweeping most parts of Himachal Pradesh, including state capital Shimla. According to the local MeT office, during the past 24 hours, Shimla has recorded a minimum temperature of 8.4 degrees Celsius.

The lowest temperature was recorded at Keylong at -2.0 degrees. In Kalpa, it was recorded at 1.6 degrees, while in the tourist resort of Manali, it was recorded at 0.2 degrees Celsius during the past 24 hours.

The minimum temperature in higher hills was at the sub-zero level.

Locals said that are facing problems because of the adverse weather. The Lakkar Bazar area of Shimla is also experiencing freezing temperatures.
