Congress spokesperson Ajay Maken on Thursday said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi unit chief Satish Upadhyay must reply to the allegations put on him by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over power discoms.

"Since there are allegations against him he must give a reply to it. However, why didn't Kejriwal identify and punish these companies when he was the chief minister for 49 days in Delhi?" asked Maken.

Earlier in the day, AAP leader Somnath Bharti reaffirmed allegations on Upadhyay over power discoms and said that the party has enough evidence to prove the same.

Upadhyay had later threatened to sue Kejriwal over power discom allegations. Kejriwal has alleged that the former's companies had supplied electric meters to Anil Ambani-group controlled power utility BSES and that the party was soft on discoms indulging in corruption.
