Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Tuesday said that the Congress is the only known, tried, tested and proven party when it comes to good governance.

"You will not be surprised but astonished at the Delhi poll results. The people of Delhi are not only urbanized but educated and sensible people. They don't seem to be eating grass as the BJP and the AAP would like you to believe. The only known, tried, tested and proven party is the Congress," Singhvi told ANI.

Taking a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Congress leader said, "The BJP is an unknown quantity here, the short lived Sushma Swaraj government is remembered by everybody, Madan Lal Khurana government is remembered by everybody. The AAP is a known quantity of 50 days that is also remembered. So, the Congress is the only proven, objective, fact-based party of a proven track record of governance."

The leader also said that in 15 years, Delhi has never had better governance in all its past.

"The metros, the flyovers, the greening you forget the sweltering heat in which you had to suffer in the summers with huge power cuts. This is all good governance of Congress. And, I think the people of Delhi are being treated very shabbily, people think that they forget and don't vote on objective facts," he added.

Delhi goes to polls on 7 February and the counting date has been scheduled for 10 February.
