Cowell's pregnant gal-pal was told by docs she was infertile

Doctors had told Lauren Silverman that she couldn't get pregnant and that's why she and Simon Cowell didn't use protection, which resulted in the unexpected pregnancy, it has been revealed.

According to sources, Lauren and her husband Andrew had been trying for a long time for another child in the past when things were better between them, and she had suffered a few miscarriages, the New York Post reported.

Cowell's pregnant gal-pal Lauren's parents are delighted that she is pregnant with Cowell's child, partly because there's a baby on the way, but more that the father is a wealthy celebrity who will take care of her.

But they fear that with her history of miscarriages, she might lose this baby and it would end up in nothing.

Cowell has apparently flown out of Los Angeles to escape the paternity scandal and is planning to spend at least a month cruising the Mediterranean on a yacht with friends.
