Cyclone Hudhud makes landfall in Vizag

A number of buildings were damaged in Vizag on Sunday as Cyclonic storm Hudhud made landfall in the city.

The storm has made landfall, with smashing 180 kmph winds as recorded in Vizag. Five diving teams have been dispatched to Srikakulam and 10 teams to low lying areas in and around Vizag for rescue and relief operations.

Over 400,000 people have been reportedly evacuated from the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha till now.
