A day after a boat capsized in Bangladesh's Meghna River, the death toll from the incident has risen to seven with the discovery of four more bodies.
Fire Service and Civil Defence retrieved bodies of two children and two women from the sunken boat this morning, a da y after three minors drowned.
The Daily Star quoted Sub Inspector Anwar Hossen, in-charge of Meghna Naval Police Outpost, as saying that no more were missing. The boat, however, is still under water.
An engine-driven boat, with 60-70 passengers, got caught in the storm at around 1:30 p.m. yesterday while sailing to Bogargoth in the Sadar upazila from Narsingdi's Puranchar Bazar.
