The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) has announced that Debbie Reynolds will be given a lifetime achievement award in January 2015.
The award, which is given to the person representing "the highest ideals of the acting profession", will be presented to the 82-year-old actress at the SAG awards ceremony on 25 January 2015, BBC reported.
According to the SAG president Ken Howard, the mother of 'Star Wars' actress Carrie Fisher, is a talented performer as she has entertained the audience with her "generous spirit and unforgettable performances" for 66 years.
The veteran screen star made her official screen debut in 1950 and has appeared in more than 50 movies.
