A copy of Charles Dickens' novel 'A Tale of Two Cities', which has a personal inscription to fellow author George Eliot, has been put up for sale at 275,000 pounds.

The signed copy bearing "Charles Dickens, To George Eliot, with high admiration and regard. December, 1859", is currently on show at a book dealer Peter Harrington's central London bookshop, the BBC reported.

The "best Dickens presentation copy" will be among the most expensive Dickens works if it is purchased in the said price.
