After a phenomenal response to the last four editions of Raga Dub music festival, 'RagaDub 5.0' is coming back to give the national capital a dose of Rastafarian culture and tradition through the power of music. Raga Dub lays emphasis on bass lines, groove and rhythm.
Celebrating the success of five wonderful years, 'RagaDub 5.0' will be a 4-day long music party. The annual music fest of Raasta will witness the genres like Techno, Reggae, House, Dancehall, Bass Heavy, Drum n' Bass, and Hip-hop. Delhiites will get an opportunity to enjoy performances of some of the craziest musicians from all around the country over these four days of music gala.
When asked what has been the vision behind RagaDub and how it started, Joy Singh, Co-partner, Raasta said, "We started RagaDub to thank the city for all love and support we received towards the brand. It was our way of giving back to the people who accepted us and since Raasta is known for its music, there was no better way to thank people than treating everyone to a line-up of music that brings together everything that Raasta is all about. So that was the whole idea behind RagaDub."
Talking about how different it would be from the previous year's, Joy shared, "It's a new location and a bigger space since we have recently shifted to Greenpark from HKV. The new space is spread across two floors, one of which is a rooftop. As it's the 5th edition of RagaDub, and it's only become bigger over the years, this time around we have 2 major international acts one is Deadly Hunta and second Pete Oak. This time we are collaborating different brands like El Posto for pop-ups and designer Nida Mahmood for Raasta's merchandise launch."
We've also planned a special grill over the weekend. There will also be a tattoo pop up by body canvas tattoos and loads of other activities throughout the days," he added.
In its earlier editions Raasta has hosted big artistes like Monica Dogra, Sidd Coutto, Moniker, Alter State, Dualist Inquiry, BLOT, DJ Navendu, Sound Avtar, DJ Sa, Arjun Vagale, Kohra, Film, Naezy, Prabh, and many others.
The 4-day music gala will held from November 2 to 5 November at Aurobindo Marg, Green Park.
