Demi Lovato has come in defense of her childhood friend Miley Cyrus, insisting that the 20-year-old singer knows what she is doing.
The 'Made In The USA' hit maker told talk show host Katie Couric that a lot of artists take that route of shock value and that's great, but she feels like Cyrus has such an incredible voice that's being overshadowed by some of the things she's doing, the Mirror reported.
The 21-year-old singer, who has been friends with the 'We Can't stop' hit maker since the duo was 14, asserted that it is Cyrus' journey, and she's having fun, and being who she is.
The brunette beauty added that people need to understand that Cyrus was Hannah Montana when she was like 16, but she's not anymore.
