Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's, 'Despacito' has become the second single ever to reign for at least 15 weeks in the 59-year history of the Billboard Hot 100.
According to Billboard, with the craze not seeming to end, 'Despacito' might just become the only song to be No.1 on this list for the 17th week and break all the records.
The song - 'One Sweet Day' by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men has been the only song that made such an impact in 1995 and it was number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for 16 weeks in 1996-1996.
'Despacito' further claims the longest run at No. 1 for a primarily non-English language hit surpassing the 14-week rule of Los Del Rio's 'Macarena (Bayside Boys Mix)' in 1996, it was revealed.
Amongst other accolades, 'Despacito' also became the longest-leading Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 of the 21st century, as the other three singles ruled only for 14 weeks since 2000.
Beyond 'Despacito,' Cardi B bounds from No. 8 to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 with her debut hit 'Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)' and Ed Sheeran's 'Shape of You' ties the record for the most weeks (32) spent in the top 10.
