The Dhaka High Court on Monday ordered 34 pharmaceutical companies to withdraw their sub-standard products from markets.

Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury and Justice Kazi Mohammad Ejarul Haque Akondo passed the order following a petition filed by Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh, reports the Daily Star.

In its petition, the Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh said that when the court has already asked the companies to stop production of these sub-standard drugs on June 7, why were they still selling these products in the market in the month of August.
