Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Dilip Pandey on Sunday said party chief Arvind Kejriwal was correct in suspending two AAP MPs from Punjab - Dharamvir Gandhi and Harinder Singh Khalsa for anti-party activities.

"For the last few weeks, there were complaints coming in that these two people are with the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Akali Dal, and they were trying to scuttle the Aam Aadmi Party's attempt to make Punjab a corruption and drug free state. We hope things will be better soon," Pandey told ANI.

"It crossed limits yesterday when they organized a parallel meeting without permission and tried to disrupt the actual meeting. Fortunately, only 400 to 500 people reached their meeting, whereas, over 10,000 AAP members attended the AAP state voluntary meet," he added.

Pandey said both MPS from Punjab had crossed their limits and had hurt the sentiments of the people of Punjab and AAP.

"It has become clear now that they have joined hands with BJP and Akali Dal and this is against the sentiments of the volunteers there. This is deceiving Punjab and the Aam Aadmi Party. It is very difficult to tolerate this deceipt," Pandey said.

Gandhi and Khalsa had organized a conference parallel to that of the AAP at Baba Bakala on Saturday on the occasion of Rakhar Puniya.

The three-member AAP National Disciplinary Action Committee, which includes Pankaj Gupta, Dilip Pandey and Deepak Bajpai, will look into the complaints of anti-party activities and indiscipline against Gandhi and Khalsa, the AAP said in a statement on Saturday.
