Donald Trump has cleared the allegations made by American journalist Megyn Kelly for referring to women as "fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals" and stated that his comments were targeted "only for Rosie O'Donnell".
The 2016 Presidential run candidate said during Fox News' GOP debate that he does not have time for total political correctness and many of his comments were made in good fun, TMZ.com reported.
Soon after this O'Donnell, who called the 69-year-old American politician "snake-oil salesman" back in 2006, took to Twitter to slam Trump and asked him to try explaining the comments to his kids.
Notably, Trump and O'Donnell have a long rivalry.
Trump later said that even though Kelly had said so many lousy things about him, he would not stoop to that level and stay kind to her.
