Following the shocking gang rape of a 14 year old girl in Doonside, community leaders have warned against escalating racial tensions in Sydney's western suburbs.
The victim's sister pleaded for calm after friends asked the family to go out and fight for the victim.
The victim, who belongs to the islander community, told the police that she was assaulted by six men of African appearance in a Doonside park on Saturday night, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Meanwhile, calling out for peace, the victim's sister requested the victim's friends and supporters to stop whatever negativity they had to say to her siblings about gang bashing and killing Africans in Doonside.
