Former cyclist and confessed doper Stuart O' Grady is still being considered in a role as a possible adviser against illegal drug use, by the Australian Olympics Committee athletes' commission.
According to The Age, the body' chairman, however, revealed that any position for the 40-year-old six-time Olympian would not come before he had further talks with the AOC and the athletes commission.
O'Grady, who confessed to doping after this year's Tour de France in July, had been on the commission since his election by fellow athletes after the London Olympic Games last year, the report said.
Crow said that for O'Grady to have any future with the athletes' commission, in any capacity, the South Australian would need to be fully transparent about his doping history.
The possibility of the former cyclist still having an Olympic future emerged last month when AOC president John Coates was elected as the International Olympic Committee vice-president at the IOC session in Buenos Aires, the report added.
