India celebrated its 70th Independence Day this week with a new level of achievements and enthusiasm. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, Dr. Amit Upadhyay of Horizon Outsource Solutions visited Father Agnel's Ashram in Mumbai to spend a day with 55 underprivileged kids housed in Bandra.
After inspiring kids from The League of Mercy Shelter Home last year, Dr. Upadhyay took a step ahead and educated kids of Father Agnel's Ashram over a session of lunch. The session started with motivational speeches to promote the Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan and was followed by singing of the national anthem.
"We have over 31 million orphaned children in India according to a report by UNICEF. Organisations like Father Agnel's Ashram are doing a very noble job of providing education and shelter to these less fortunate children. These kids are the future of our country and it is a responsibility of every citizen to participate and help such organisations in functioning better. We at Horizon Outsource Solutions are committed to take such initiatives in future as well and help in making India a better place to live in. The enthusiasm and knowledge of such children is amazing. Going forward, we will do whatever we can as a socially responsible brand in our own small ways", said Dr. Upadhyay.
Dr. Upadhyay educated children on the Swacch Bharat Campaign and the importance of keeping the surrounding clean. The kids promptly started to clean up the entire shelter home and surrounding area and took an oath to keep the environment clean and green.
