They may have gone their separate ways, but Elon Musk says his split from Amber Heard is amicable.

After they called it quits on their one-year romance, the 46-year-old tech mogul assured the public that there's no bad blood between them and even hinted at a possible reunion.

"Btw, just to clear up some of the press storm this weekend, although Amber and I did break up, we are still friends, remain close and love one another," Musk commented on one of 'The Danish Girl' star's "cute" Instagram posts.

The Tesla CEO added, "Long distance relationships, when both partners have intense work obligations are always difficult, but who knows what the future holds."

The comment comes after the 31-year-old actress shared a photo of herself placing a fork in her hair, above a shot of 'The Little Mermaid's Ariel doing the same. She captioned it as "Put a fork in it."

The pair, who first met in 2013 on the set of 'Machete Kills,' didn't go public with their romance until April.

The duo ultimately made their relationship Insta-official with a "cheeky" photo of them.

Around that time, Heard was in middle of a highly publicised split from Johnny Depp, while the Tesla CEO was also going through a divorce from his on-and-off former-wife, Talulah Riley.
