Former Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani's name has been removed from the list of accused in the INR 44 billion Oil and Gas Regulator Authority (Ogra) case by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

NAB investigators could not find documentary evidence, which was admissible before the court against Gilani, the Express Tribune reports.

According to NAB's dossier, Gilani is alleged to have allowed relocation of 466 CNG stations against the Ogra regulations.

He is also accused of illegally appointing Tauqir Sadiq as chairman for Ogra, the report added.

Tauqir Sadiq after evading arrest for months was in custody facing trial in the scam.
