Actors Anna Faris and Eugenio Derbez highlighted the issue of diversity at the premiere of their upcoming film 'Overboard'.
During the event on Monday night, Derbez said that diversity is the "true meaning" behind the gender-swapped remake of the 1987 movie of the same name, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
"In Latin America, we've been watching Hollywood movies forever. We love them, and they're about Americans," Derbez said.
"I'm fighting for diversity because it's good for everybody. It's not like I am a Latino looking for space, it's about making Hollywood richer," the actor added.
Faris and Derbez were joined by actors Eva Longoria, Mel Rodriguez and Josh Segarra at the premiere.
Directed by Rob Greenberg, 'Overboard' will hit theatres on Friday.
