17-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer stormed into the third round of the Wimbledon after defeating local favourite Marcus Willis in straight sets at the All England Club on Wednesday.
The Swiss maestro trounced rising star Willis 6-0, 6-3, 6-4 in the second round and will next face either Dan Evans or Alexandr Dolgopolov in the third round.
772-ranked Wills captivated the tennis world with his incredible story, as he battled through to the main draw at Wimbledon following a series of six qualifying matches before beating world number 54 Ricardas Berankis on Monday to set up a dream clash with seven-time champion Federer.
Despite the defeat, the 25-year-old won many hearts as he produced a spirited performance, hitting 24 winners, nine aces in the game.
