Federer, Murray advance to third round of Oz Open

World number two Roger Federer cruised into the third round of the Australian Open as he bounced back to defeat his Italian opponent Simone Bolelli after losing the first set in Melbourne.

Despite dropping the first set, Federer outclassed Bolelli 3-6 6-3 6-2 6-2 to advance to the next round of the first grand slam of the year.

Moreover, Britain number one Andy Murray strolled into the next round with a convincing 6-1 6-3 6-2 win over Australian rival Marinko Matosevic.
