If you are asked about the similarities between 'Ok Jaanu' and 'Aashiqui 2,' the reply that will pop-up promptly in your mind is- Aditya Roy Kapur and Sharddha Kapoor.
No, it's not the only one! Rather, the similarity is much deep and grave.
Shraddha brought the connection under spotlight, during an interview with ANI here.
Speaking about it, in detail, the 29-year-old actress said, "I was telling him (Aditya Roy Kapur) the other day that before 'Aashiqui 2,' we came from two films, which did not do well. And the same thing is happening now. Both our previous films did not do that well. I hope 'Ok Jaanu' forms the same kind of connection. We hope to get that kind of love."
Obviously, when the similarity is so strong, expectations will get higher for the film, which is set to release this Friday, January 13.
On a related note, Aditya's previous movie 'Fitoor' and Shraddha's last flick 'Rock On!! 2' did not do well at the Box Office.
Hence, the 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' actor's is eagerly looking forward to this film, with complete optimism.
"Yes, my last couple of films did not do well; so it is very important film for me. There is no doubt about that. I am excited.we are kind of optimistic right now."
Directed by Shaad Ali, 'Ok Jaanu' is an official remake of Mani Ratnam's Tamil hit flick 'O Kadhal Kanmani,' which featured Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen.
The film speaks about Aditya and Shraddha, as a young couple in a live-in relationship in Mumbai, while Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson play an older couple, who are their landlords.
